As people we have the tendency to be really busy and always in a hurry. We measure everything in days, forgetting the importance of a moment.
That sweet moment when you just kiss your wife or your husband on a chick, or you see a child smiling, or just taking a few seconds to admire the sunset.
Nothing compares with the beauty of small moments.
I was in church a few weeks ago, and the pastor was talking, actually he was asking: What is the highlight of your day? What keeps you busy? What keeps you preoccupied?
After that sermon, I started to think more and more about this questions, and just to see more clearly the daily importance of acknowledge Jesus in my life.
As children of God we are connected with Him, He is our air, our source of life!
I don’t know about you, but as people part of a worship community/band, I believe we should be more aware of His presence.
For me, my 25 minutes with the tube from where I live to my work place, represent the highlight of my day. In those minutes, I don’t read anything, I don’t sing anything, I don’t pray about anything. I put on some Bethel or some Elevation Worship songs, and I just let myself to be full of wonder of what God is.
Of course, I have my devotional time, I have my prayer requests or thanks, but in those 25 minutes, is just me and Him – and that is amazing – and for me this is the highlight of my day – moments when everything stops and Jesus just walks in the room of my heart.
To truly know God, we must long for Him without any other motive than reaching God himself – A.W. Tozer
