I don’t know about you, but I have days when I don’t feel that strong, that confident or even that positive about many things in my life. Either is my job, or someone that I love goes through a really hard time, or somebody is not happy how the last church program was and my mind is just stuck in that conversation that somehow as the worship leader I could have done better.
STOP!
Stop thinking about yesterday, stop your emotions to be all over the place and just rest in what the Father says about you. In this busy life that we all live in, nothing is more important that knowing who we are, knowing our identity and knowing who to TRUST.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer. My God, my strength, in whom I will TRUST (Psalm 18:2)
When you have moments of doubt about yourself, that you are not good enough or not something, something, just STOP and go back to the truth. The truth that says that:
- I am fearfully and wonderfully made
- I am chosen and appointed by Christ to do what He called me to do
- I am loved by an everlasting One
- I am a Child of God
- I am God’s workmanship
- I am set free from sin through Jesus
- I know that God is in control
- I am a new creation
- I am blessed with all the spiritual blessings
- I belong to Jesus
- I am not afraid, God is with me
- I am delivered from every evil, because God is watching over me
- I am strong, because the Lord is my strength
- I seek the praises and approval of God, not others
- I set my mind on things above, not on earthly things,
- I will lack nothing because God will supply all my needs according to His riches
- I am peaceful, God’s peace fills me up
- I am complete in Christ
- I have the spirit of power, love and self-discipline
- I can do ALL things though Christ who strengthens me
I remember Paul Washer saying in one of his sermons ,,don’t be discouraged, don’t ever be discouraged, there is no reason to ever be discouraged.” Accept that you are loved beyond measure, you are chosen and you are conformed to the image of Jesus Christ.
Enjoy your journey and don’t forget that the beauty is in the journey, not in the destination.
